Rustic alder cabinets have a warm, comfortable feel. That makes them perfect for this finished basement kitchen. The brown knotty wood meshes well with the earth tones and natural decor of the room. The bar ties everything together, while also separating the seating area from the standing/working area. Wrapping a support post with rustic alder wood and installing a small section of granite countertop creates a nice little “hang out” area.
We built the cabinets and also supplied the wood to wrap the posts and the ceiling soffit. The result is a pleasing display of wood that catches your eye wherever you look.
